Will the writing center be available?
Would it be possible to know if the writing center would be open during the summer for assistance?
Answer
The Writing Center is open when classes are in session, so we are open Fall, Spring, Summer I, and Summer II semesters. There are reduced hours over the summer as demand for our assistance is less, but online options are available for students with schedules that don't mesh with our hours of operation.
Please keep in mind that when classes are not meeting, we are not open. That means the Writing Center is closed for the weeks between semesters. That gives our consultants the opportunity to enjoy some down time, just as their peers do.
